Did not attend there, but they have an excellent reputation and I have worked with many graduates of their program.

HMM--I'm a graduate, and I thought their program was very weak. I'm wondering what makes other graduates think it was an excellent program. BTW, it's also VERY expensive.

I was accepted there back a few months ago, as a transfer student from a CC. Everything looked good until I found out they moved their campus to a rather bad neighborhood, and they were extremely expensive. Like 10 grand a semester. They did offer me a scholarship of like 4 or 5 grand, however I chose to go to EMU instead. I start there in 2 weeks. They were much cheaper and in a decent neighborhood. Have you applied to other schools?

You said you transferred from CC, what's that? And what neighborhood did they move too? And yes I see that they're 500 and some odd dollars a semester, which is extremely expensive. But I was looking towards them because you can go full or part time. I don't know of any other schools that do that. Do you? EMU is rather far from me. Was it hard getting into they're program?

It also depends on what the nursing student puts into the program as well.
I do not know anything about their accelerated program, but the grads that I have worked with in the past have been excellent (from thir traditional program).

It is going to be the same at any nursing school, it will depend on the nursing instructors at the time that are there, as well.

Wayne State University is in Detroit and has one of the best nursing school reputations in the country. It is extremely well respected and is not a private school. Private schools are always going to be more money.

I have a friend at U of D right now (second career). She's loving the program, but it is tough and it is expensive. She's going to spend for tuition alone what I was quoted as tuition, plus books, supplies and living expenses for another program. She feels like she's receiving a good education, which is probably the most important thing.
