have you tried St. Clair County Community College? Great programs there, it is located in Port Huron. They have LPN, RN and LPN to RN programs...

I'm just finishing up my 1st year. Before I started I called all over--from here to Toledo, inquiring on both RN & LPN programs. I'm near Detroit. All had waiting lists except WCCCD, which goes by GPA. Maybe things have changed but I haven't heard anything. Good luck!

Macomb does not have a wait list. You either cut the mustard or you don't . Acceptance is based on GPA of last 12 credits, and also your HESI score. Do you have your pre-reqs completed already? (anatomy & physiology, microbiology, nutrition, etc)

WCCCD does not have a wait list, but you will be competing against hundreds of people...Good luck where ever you go...

Community colleges in the Upper Peninsula should give you a better chance of getting in.

Have you looked into Schoolcraft?

There is a waiting list for OCC. Priority on students getting in is their GPA.

There isn't a wait list for OCC. However, they will admit students via the GPA system starting next year. WCCCD and MCC also uses this system. For OCC, those who have all pre-reqs completed, Priority I, will be taken in consideration first. Those who still have co-reqs left, Priority II, will be considered after all eligible Priority I students are admitted. More than likely Priority II students will not have a chance because there are a ton of people who will have all pre-reqs completed. Plus it will be wise to complete all pre-reqs before entering the program.

If you complete all OCC's pre-reqs and pass the entrance math exam, there isn't a wait. But you must have a good GPA in order to be competative.
