St. Joes Mercy in Pontiac...


anyone work there? How do you like it? How about starting pay for graduate nurse? Or for a nurse extern? My sister in law spent her last days in the hospice there, and I remember the nurses being so great. A few of them even came to the funeral. Thanks in advance

Hi, I currently work in the Insurance department at St Joes, It is an awesome hosptial to work at, my sister has been a nurse here for 10 years and says she wouldn't work anywhere else. I am not sure as to the starting pay of a gradutate nurse but I am looking into the nurse extern job and if you have finished your med/surg rotation then the start pay is around $17.

I start the nursing program at OCC in a few weeks, so I guess I have a little while until I can be a nurse extern. But that was exactly what I was wondering about too. What depts do they have nurse externs in? I haven't quite decided what field I want to get into yet. Thanks!
