Should I buy the 1500's books now

As far as the Nclex goes get the saunders comprehensive, both nurses at work and people responding to my "which nclex" question told me to get this one and you may notice some of the questions from it, as far as the others Im not much help with-sorry

I would look for the books at the Bookmark store near the campus, the books are a little cheaper there if you are paying for them yourself. I didn't have any luck finding the Taylor Fundamentals text/cd set anywhere real cheap, but it was $10 less at the Bookmark than the campus store. I don't know if it will do you any good to start reading right now, unless you have the syllabus you won't know what order to read the chapters. I would brush up on the clinical calculations, it doesn't hurt to learn that now . I personally don't think you need an NCLEX review book to help study for the 1500s, I didn't use one in the 1600s either. I think when you get into med-surge it would be more useful.

I would warn you to check all NCLEX style books at the brick stores to make sure the CD is still attached to the back cover. So many of them are ripped out and stolen by cretins who think nothing of stealing a $40 item. (Won't they make great nurses?)

If you buy a book with a missing CD, you'll have a difficult time proving it wasn't you who removed it. Double check before you buy!

I didn't use an NCLEX review book for 1500's either. I did find it somewhat helpful for Fluid and Electrolytes in 1600's, but not crucial to pass the test. There are quite a few different ones sitting on the shelf for anyone to use in the Learning Center if you want to see which one is geared toward your learning style. As far as studying this summer.....DON'T! Enjoy your summer! That said, I know how you feel and you'll probably ignore that advice and open your books anyway. Someone else on another thread had suggested perusing the nursing process chapters and I thought that was pretty good advice. Welcome to MCC Nursing! Congrats and Good Luck!
