I hope I'm not scaring you about the tests... I'm not trying to. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you have to get used to the whole "critical thinking" mode. By having two "correct" answers, I mean that technically both answers make sense, but one is better.
For example, in an emergency, a person has a severe gunshot wound and is heavily bleeding. You would:
a. clear the airway
b. control the bleeding
c. call his family
d. check his vital signs
In this case, you would probably eventually do all of those things, but the first thing you would do is clear the airway (remember ABC's). So you could argue all day that you would try to control the bleeding, and you would try to do that, but after the airway.
Does that make sense?
You will get the hang of it. Get a NCLEX study guide and it will help you a lot!
