Register for MCC microbiology?

by A4L4S

This question is to those who are already in the MCC program:

I just got accepted and still need micro. Should I go ahead and register for it for the fall or wait until after the orientation to see what they say? I am worried about the classes filling up, but really I don't know what my fall schedule will look like. What did you guys do?

Thanks!

I registered for Microbiology in the summer session. There might be some openings in a section if people who didn't get into nursing school dropped out.

I would not wait, the classes fill up. Do you know your ranking so you have an idea if you would even have to work the nursing classes around another class? I would just pick a night class, and then work/pick your clinical time (for October) around that. It shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks Guys. I don't know my ranking yet and since they won't give it out over the phone I will have to wait until orientation to find out. And I can't take it over the summer, so I will try and sign up for the night class.

thanks.

Doesn't fall registration start sometime during the summer?

Yes, July 1st. I thought it would have been already but I need to get used to community colleges doing everything last minute. As an undergrad I would have registered for the entire next year by now.

If you get the opportunity, take the pathogenic microbiology class taught by Aratakis. I found his lectures to be very interesting. When taking a class such as this, it is best to get a professor who can hold your attention.
