? regarding ICU experience and new grads...(m)

You know, my sister was telling me that it has become hard to find job even in nursing. I will be starting ADN program at MCC. and she told me that "get a job in the field (nurse assistant or something like that) now so that you would have a job after you graduate".

I will be looking for advise on this forum. My question is where can I get a job as a student so eventually i can be in ICU?

At the U of M most of the ICU's take new grads. The only reason that they say no is if they had a flood of them and need to balance out the staff.
