CONGRATS! You will love this program! The staff is wonderful and is there to help you succeed. Use their office hrs for any questions/ concerns. I was so nervous to start NS and it has been so much fun - met lots of great ppl and you will too. My lil nuggets of wisdom: the key to success is time mgmt.; never change an answer (look for cue words and avoid reading into the question); get an NCLEX book (I have Saunders) to get you into the mind frame of a nurse and understanding the rationale and always review your tests. AND TAKE IT ONE TEST AT A TIME! Good Luck! You will do awesome!

I am still WAITING! I went on Dec. 17th and I know my chances are slim but I'm still holding out hope. I'm praying that enough people postpone that it'll happen. I was told they have went through some people on the first list for Dec. 17th and I am on the middle of the second. I was laid off a few months ago and the timing would be absolutely perfect. I would be able to get my first rotation under my belt and be eligible to then work in a hospital before my unemployment runs out. It's probably too good to be true huh?

Oh sorry, CONGRATULATIONS to you I got a little caught up in myself didn't I?

Thanks for giving me hope! I have one class left to take and then I can get on the list (well after I take the NET too) I should be on the list in December, so I'm hoping I'll be starting next fall like you. Or at the latest, Winter 2010. I'm so glad I found out that HFCC had a waitlist. I was so depressed because of Baker but not anymore! I will be a Nurse one day, thanks to HFCC!

I also got my letter this week and I was put on the waiting list mid-December (15th?). I was told expect the winter semester so imagine the words that came out of my mouth when I checked the mail...lol
