Question for Working Nurses on Fresh Meat (new students)

Those of you already working, and that deal with new nurses: What do you think is expected that fresh nurses should know to begin with? What areas and aspects that are learned during school are the most important to have 'in your pocket' as you start a nursing career? I would love to hear the responses from those nurses who train new nurses, and/or those who have been around a long time. Thank you. Dave
