Pharmacology at WCCCD

I just registered for pharm at Wayne County, the instructor I have is Sheryl Thomas. Has anyone had her or heard anything about her? I have never heard of her before. I went on ratemyprofessors and she has bad ratings but so does some of my fav. instructors. if someone could give me any info I would really appreciate it. Thank You!!

OMG!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THAT CRAP!!!! Ms. Thomas is hard, she makes you think about what you are doing and why. She give WAY more info on most subjects than most other instructors. I had her for pharm and MS3 and I don't regret it for a minute. She is one of the most accomplished instructors in the program. She teaches at OCC, write for the NCLEX and teaches sixclasses/clinicals. People talk crap about her because she doesn't take any crap. She is always professional, which you will come to appreciate.
The thing most people have issues with in pharm is that she wants to know what you will do if your patient has an adverse reaction, so she's really big on interventions and patient teaching.
Congrats and good luck! Don't get discouraged, you're halfway there!!!

This is you in two semesters-

Steph

Exclamation Re: Pharmacology at WCCCD
She sounds like a GREAT teacher; personally I think we need more of them I have had a couple classes that I worried that I was not taught enough. The business that we are entering in we need to take seriously; at some point we could be dealing with a persons life in our hands and pray to god you can save them! Having (and being a) good teachers, preceptors, and peers will get you there as well as someone else, always keep your mind open to new situations!

I was just curious on any information. I do not mind having a hard instructor I enjoy learning as much as possible because a persons life is our precious hands. But there are a few instructors at Wayne County that I have heard are impossible!Thank you for the information. I have enjoyed WCCC Nursing program and I would highly recommend Wayne County to anyone. Good luck to everyone!
