I imagine that all schools have different policies but we had to have:
vaccination records, a current TB test, current BLS (or proof of enrollment in a BLS class), a background check and take urine drug screen.

if your going to HFCC then yep that and titers, physical. but you will get all that info at the meeting. mine has to be in in Jan. So I'll have a few months to get it together.
I would start getting the hep. b shots they take 7 months for the series.

I agree w/ the post above. You'll also need a TB test. They'll let you know that during your orientation. Also, did you complete the BLSC class? That's only good for 2 years so try not to do that too far in advance.

I totally agree to start your Hep B series now if you need it. You can waive that, but that's your choice. I chose the shots. It's a set of 3 and it's expensive. I highly recommend the health dept because they charge only $10 per shot.

How long have you been on the wait list?

PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
33030 Van Born Road
Wayne, MI 48184
Ph: 734-727-7000

** This is where I got my shots for $10 each. The flu shot cost me $15. They take walk ins and appointments. They are usually running a little late, but worth it for the savings.
