Occ Gpa

by AnnieMc

For those of you who go to OCC, I was wondering what was your GPA for your prereqs? I'm really stressed out about getting what I think to be 3.6-3.7 range right now. I want to eventually go onto CRNA. What are your prereq GPAs?

I also hate the fact that they give you a 3.7 for an A-

Awwh....You sound like a few of us who are also applying to OCC in 2008. It will be very interesting to see where the cut off actually hits. Since this is the first year they are using this method they are saying they can't say because they don't have a history to judge from. I have heard that they are expecting you will need to have approx., at least, : ), a 3.4 and that might not be strong enough. Actually no one knows, but I have heard from other students they suspect anything from a 3.4 to a 3.7... so who knows ?? That can be a pretty significant difference in a program as competitive as this has become. It's enough to drive a person crazy ! Good Luck. I do have the web page site with the GPA calculation method that the school will use if you want it. That way you can calculate your GPA the same way the Nursing Program does.

Hi
This is the web site to determine your GPA. It was given to me by a counslor. Remember that you only figure out your GPA with the Core Pre Req. classes. I think there are 13 if I am not mistaken. You can check on the OCCC page under the Nursing dept. I think they are listed there and of course they are the ones that were mentioned in the required orientation. Good Luck. Also for any of you who have a MySpace page I set up a Group page about a year ago. It's for Current and Future Nursing Students at OCC. This is the link if you want to join : http://groups.myspace.com/occnursingstudentsgroup

This is the link for the GPA Calculator
