Hello everyone!

Does anyone know if OCC will have an accelerated program beginning in May 2010? Are there any hopefuls here for that program?

I am a hopeful and just talked to the nursing dept. they are still not sure about the accelerated program!

Every year the grants have to be approved for the accelerated program and the success rate of the current group of students who are in the program also plays a role. I hope they have it as I hope to start next may but, if not I will just be happy to be in the normal program.

I'm a hopeful They don't know if the accelerated program will happen this year or not. The accelerated is my first pick, if not the regular program is my second

working on prereqs, this is my last summer. I will be applying this term. I have my "checklist" set up with the office next week, and will be going to the mandatory informational session and then i should be all set!!!

I will be done with my prereqs tthis fall and will be applying this term. All I have left to do is take my MPT which I will do this Friday.

I applied to the accelerated program last April and did not make the cut off with a 3.84 GPA so I am in the standard track right now... If it is really something you want to do make sure you do your best in every class!!!

I heard last semester from one of the instructors that she is 99% sure there won't be an accelerated program offered in 2010. Of course, this is the same thing they told all of us (they ended up getting the grant like 2 weeks before they sent out letters). It would be wise, however, to make sure you are getting above a 3.8 GPA if you want a chance in accelerated just in case it is offered. Our average GPA is 3.9
