Yes, it is. If it isn't completed, it is in-between the beginning and the end.

I have 5 kids. 3 of them are in the middle. Number four is still in the middle. OR the middle child could be just the third one. It's subjective on how it is used. You may have said, "close to being finished". "I said in the middle of the process". It is really neither here nor there, because I was just sharing casual information, because I thought the other members might be interested. It doesn't really matter, for the purposes of this conversation, where exactly they were in the process. It wasn't completed. But it is a good thing for Baker, that's why I shared the information.
