Well at least that is all behind you now. Congratulations on your LPN and pursuing your ADN. It sounds like everything may have worked out for the best!

This just doesn't make sense. What was your total points to apply? I have a 3.79 and a 85 on the NET and I was 6 spots away from getting in this time, and would have gotten in for certain the term before that, based on where they drew the line for points.

Gem, when are you re-applying for Baker? I'd really like to know what's going on in your neck of the woods. Not to sound like a creep, but I've been following your posts and I'm really rooting for you :P

LOL I am not creeped out by it! Thanks for thinking of me! When will you be applying?? We pick up our packets week 9. We are currently in week 5, so 4 more weeks, then drop off week 10 and wait until early February.

I am nervous. Really nervous. I am also taking the Hesi Dec 13th, aside from the Nutrition class I need, I am just need that score to apply to Macomb. I am hoping that I can say I was accepted to both programs! LOL But will settle for either! If I don't get into either of these programs, I am going to start taking some classes at WSU, or rather for future consideration there. I was considering taking the mcat. I can't really decide ultimately what I want to do.

I am going to start yoga in November. I hope it will help with some of my anxiety! Anyone have a membership at Lifetime Fitness?

Did anyone hear that Baker Clinton Twp is attempting to get accredited by the NLN? And they are working on getting a BSN program in place? I really like Baker. I like the 10 week class structure, so that would be a plus for me.

Hey Gem,
Think positive! We will be starting the program in the Spring that that is all there is to it!!! That would be great if they came up with a BSN program at Baker.

Hey Gem. are you in the nutrition class now at MCC? I take it on Monday mornings. Do you know of any changes or anything that is going on at Baker? I have to retake the NET on Nov 14th at Baker and then also the HESI at MCC December 13. I am really hoping that I can get in at baker this term...I don't know though, it sounds like it is going to be difficult again this spring...Or of course to be accepted for both MCC and Baker would be cool...lol

Gosh, I am trying to stay positive, but with the situation last time! This time my score is 96%. I am kind of hoping that everyone doesn't score that high... LOL Hopefully we can get start the program together! My friend is taking the NET again this time too. Hopefully, she gets a competitive score.

I am glad I don't have to take the NET again!

No, I am signing up for it for next term. I have concerns though, that I am going to get into the program at Baker and then it will be a problem. The nutrition class starts in January and ends in May? And Baker's Spring term will start in April. I have to take my classes during the day, when my kids are in school, so I am kind of at a loss on how to do it. I did see there were some abbreviated classes, they offered the last time, perhaps I can get into one of those this time around. If... Flying Spaghetti Monster forbid, I don't get into the program, I will be taking Chem this Summer. That doesn't exactly thrill me. LOL But I would need it to get on the wait list at HFCC, and I would need it as a pre-requisite for Organic Chem.

I haven't heard anything about the Spring application pool. All I know is that last time they took scores that were about 94% of all points possible that was up from the previous pool from about 84%. I can't imagine that the scores will go up AGAIN that high. This last pool was the first class to have such a drastic jump, and it seems that a lot less apply for the Spring start. Here's to hoping anyhow.

Gem, I will be applying for Fall 09 at Baker AND Macomb for Fall 09 also. I take the HESI for Macomb Dec 13th, too!

I am still working through pre-reqs for Baker, and I won't be done with them in time to apply for Baker's Spring 09.

Like you, I am hoping to get into whatever nursing program I can get. I want to be a nurse more than anything, and beggars can't really be choosers at this point

I haven't taken any nursing entrance exam yet, so I'm kind of nervous, but if its meant to be, it will be.

Good luck to all of us who are spring/fall 09 hopefuls!! Sending good thoughts to Gem and jambraham especially

Gem, what do you mean by 94%. Are you talking about Baker?
