Mott cc LPN program

Has anyone done the LPN program at Mott? I am thinking of going there and want to know what to expect. Baker college has really rubbed me the wrong way plus I am moving so I want to go to a school that is closer.

Have you talked to the Nursing directors at Mott? First, they don't have a LPN program on it's own. Their LPN program is part of the RN program. Once you are accepted into their nursing program, after the first year you can take the LPN boards, and then continue on to the second year for your RN. You have the option to take the LPN boards......unlike some other school. I did all my pre-reqs there and had some friends in the program....from what they say, Mott has a really good Nursing program. I just can't wait that long......because they go by a waiting list. Good luck to you!

I was looking on the website that they offer LPD, ADN and LPN to ADN. If LPN is just the first step to RN then I guess I will go for RN. I am fine with a waiting list it will give me more time. I tried to go for LPN at baker but this past term when I tried to enroll for spring and summer every class but 3/9 classs were filled and I wasn't going to make it in time for LPN. The non transferable credit thing was getting to me too so I figure with the move I might as well switch to a closer school.

Do you think I could talk mott into taking my A&P 1 credit? That is the only one I don't want to lose, I worked my butt off for it.

You should talk to a counsler at Mott. The last time I spoke to a the health director at Mott she said they were going to change a lot of things. I think for Mott to take your A&P class it has to be both 1 and 2 and 6 to 8 credits. Good luck and if you don't mind waiting, Mott is a very good school.

HI!

I just finished my first semester at Mott.

I did wait on the waitlist for about 2 years though.

Congrats to you! I couldn't wait that long. I was told the waitlist was at least 3 years. How do you like it there?
