An instructor once told me to keep checking a few times a day as the class start gets closer and closer and especially after the first day, first week of the class, athe school will drop students who haven't paid in time, or just switch at the last minute. I always hear of students who say "I just got in today!" on the first day of school.

Not the best way to plan it, but it's a very good shot if you need that time slot.
