As I understand it, the physical sheet is the same one they usually give for like sports and camp stuff. Just a general sheet most doctors have in their office.

They recommended the 30 day thing for those that start later terms so they wouldn't have them done too early, that's how I understood it.

Let me know what you find out. I start in August, too.

Gemberly,

When you purchase your books for fall quarter will you let me know the total price; I start in Oct., I'm just curious about a ball-park price on books. I realize you are registering for double the courses. Thank you and you all have a wonderful 4th of July!!

Hi Nell!

Cool! I am glad you are in the same lab. My clinical is at Mt. Clemens Regional on Thursdays.

I am getting exited! I am glad I am going to know someone!

I got a packet in the mail with a form in it for the physical, and all the specifics of what we needed to do and by when. I am glad they sent them, because it answered a lot of questions that we were wondering about!

Does anyone know how much the titers test and urine drug screen cost if your insurance doesn't cover them? I called my insurance (Blue Care Network) and they said if the doctor says they are "medically necessary" they will be covered BUT if they are billed as school related they won't be. So I am afraid that depending on how my doctor bills them, I may have to pay for them.
I signed up for BLS for healthcare providers which costs $55 (including book and card). This is the AHA class and the card is good for two years. I was told St John prefers this class to Red Cross which I had and let lapse. This class is offered at Henry Ford Macomb (19 Mile and Garfield). Boy, this is getting expensive!! My 1500 classes ( I start in August) are all C0801. Anyone else in this bunch of classes?

I haven't figured out if my titers will be covered yet either, but I did call Concentra and was told a urine drug screen is $55.50. I hope I can get my doctor to say they are necessary!
I think all of us who start in August are in the same theory classes, we just have different clinicals/labs.

Yes, my lab is C0801 too. Its the Tuesday 1:30-7:30 lab. Are you starting in August too? I talked to a girl who was taking nursing at Baker and she recommended to me a little book called "Fluids and Electrolytes made easy". It covers fluids and electrolytes, respiratory and metabolic alkalosis and acidosis and acid-base balance etc. These are all topics we will be covering early in the classes. I had my A&P in Fall 2006 so I am a little rusty on these topics. I can't believe its a little over a month til we start! I am so nervous.
