MCC loan & book question

by inspire

I dont qualify for financial aid, and I was interested in taking a Federal Stafford Loan. One criteria is a minimum of 6 credit hours. Since the 1500's are only 3 credits, I guess that means I won't qualify. Also, roughly how much are books for the 1500's? Thanks!

I think you could still qualify. Sure the 1500's are only 3 credits, but that is half a semester. The entire semester is 6 credits when you add the 1600's.

Also, I am not sure if it is the same, but at orientation they said if we ran into trouble with insurance etc. becuse of the less than 12 credits for full time status, they write a letter saying that even though it is less than 12 credits, it is considered a full time program. Maybe that would help for the loans? Worth a try!

Inspire,

Books for the 1500's cost ...are you ready...$520.00 plus tax from the bookstore. OUCH ! You will need those for later courses I hear, but still ...I guess that's what we have to do.

Good Luck,
Hoot

That's not cool. I haven't ordered my uniforms yet either. I guess it's going to be an expensive month!
