hi jenRN! i live in suburbs of detroit, near sterling heights. the hospitals around here start new grad RN's out at 24 an hour. my coworker with a BSN and ten years experience was only offered 25 for med surg/tele unit, 8 pts for days

. yikes. she didn't take it solely because of the pt load.
i live in a nice area, but it sure is expensive and the taxes are higher. i'll be going with my friend to grand rapids tomorrow for her toefl exam!
