Re: LPN-RN in Detroit area?
Check out this site:
http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/0,1607,7-132-27417_27529_27542---,00.html
Then click on Nursing Approved Ed Programs under Nursing License info. This will tell you the approved schools for the ADN programs in Michigan.
I can't tell you which ones offer the LPN to RN, but I know that Henry Ford Community College does for sure. Just a heads up, the Nursing program (even for LPN to RN) has a 1-2yr waitlist and growing rapidly!! And you can't get on the waitlist until you have all of the requirements fulfilled. You can check out their website for more info on the program:

I am pretty sure that Washtenaw Community College also has the program, but their Nursing waitlist is 3-4yrs (YIKES!!)
Are you currently employed by a hospital? I have heard from several friends that had ADN's that their employers (typically large hospitals) have given then tuition reimbursement for doing the ADN to BSN programs. Maybe they do the same for LPN to RN?
Good luck, and utilize the internet and Google as much as possible, that is how I found out about the programs!!
