LCC Accelerated Program

Letters should be sent out by January 10.

I have continued to work about 20 hours per week during the program. I could actually handle more hours but choose to slack off a little.

Yes the courses are 1 at a time. They each last 6 or 7 weeks except for the last 2 that last 8 weeks.

Your schedule changes every 6-7 weeks. The first week of class is always filled with skills labs of some sort then after that it is basically lecture 1 day & clinical 2 days a week. For the accelerated program, they do a lot of the material online. Unfortunately you don't know your exact schedule until about 2 weeks before each class starts; lecture, labs, and clinical never end up being on the same days. I have had weekday clinicals, evening clinicals and weekend clinicals so unfortunately it's always a surprise what group you get put into. We still do not have our lab or clinical schedule for when we come back from Christmas break. All we know is we have lecture on Wednesday afternoons, other than that we are in the dark.

If you begin in March, you will not follow LCC's normal breaks until the last 2 classes. We started the Monday following the normal LCC spring break and we did not have a break again until the first week of July. They gave us the week of the 4th of July off. You get the normal few days off for Thanksgiving and now we are getting the normal Christmas break. The last 2 classes are at the normal pace so we will come back on the normal semester start date and get spring break off.

Hope that helps. It is a bit frustrating to never know what the schedule will be for the next class until the last minute but it tends to be the same way for the traditional students as well.
