Informational meeting at HFCC

Hello everyone. This is only my second time being on allnurses so bear with me. I have an informational meeting to attend this Friday for HFCC nursing students. Is there anything else I need to bring with me aside from what is already noted on my acceptance letter? Should I already be looking into getting my physical or immunizations taken care of? Thanks for any help.

No that's what the information meeting is for. To tell you everything you have to do. If you have a doctor who takes 2 months to make an apt then yeah maybe you want to set it up but as long as they only take a week or 2 to make apts then don't worry about it You will have a lot of stuff to take care of pretty suddenly but nothing until they tell you. Just do whatever the letter says. By the way when were you put on the list at HFCC (my friend should be accepted for this semester and I just wanted to give her the latest acceptance time) Good luck...trust me it goes by a lot faster than you think!

Hi oguesswhat. I was put on the waiting list in March of 2008. I thought I would have been accepted sooner but I'll take what I can get.

Just to let you know they will recomend a clinic for your immunizations and other stuff. If you need the hepB one it is $72 for the whole series through the oakland county health dept. vs 80 for each through the clinic. you have to get the drug test done at the clinic, but i would check out health dept. for the rest.

For what it's worth, I was put on the list in Aug. '08, and was told that officially I'm in line for the Jan '10 start, but I'm high enough that I MAY end up getting a late acceptance letter for Fall '09. I went in recently to talk to L.P. in the advisors office, and she said it still looks that way. Fall would be AWESOME!
