How to find your place on a Nurse wait list???

by HFCC29

Is it possible to find out where you are on the Nurse wait list, for example, at Henry Ford CC? Is it posted some where officially?
Also, how can I track down my history of Titers? Anyone know? I appreciate any and all help. Thx and have a great/safe New Year 2009!

Thumbs up Re: How to find your place on a Nurse wait list???
Good luck.....I was never able to get any specifics! Don't mean to burst your bubble just letting you know about my experience. I went on the list in Dec 07 and I start in less than two weeks. They added a second program this semester so that will only work in your favor (if your hoping to start sooner than later). Your doctor can do your titers or you can wait until you're officially accepted into the program and there's a clinic you can go to that HFCC has an agreement with for a discounted rate. Best of luck to you!!!!

You can try talking to M.Z. - she is a NURSING counselor. She probably can't tell you specifically, but can give you a good general idea. If you have had the same family doctor, you should be able to track your titers through him/her. Otherwise, I am not sure - you will probably just have to have them done.

A.B. is the nursing office head honcho and she knows for sure. She was in a good mood and told me for sure where I was on the list. She sends out the letters so she for sure will know.

Yeah for sure! Guess you gotta catch her on a good day! That's one thing I never understood about the nursing office. Why do they have to be so darn angry and snippy...we worked hard to get here, we earned it and deserve it and sometimes I get the feeling like they think they are doing us a favor:/- I know it's their job and at times hey have to deal with a lot of crap but so does everyone else. I wish everyone would just remember the saying, "do unto others as you'd have done unto you"!
