How difficult is it to get into LPN-RN programs?

I am debating whether to apply to the RN program at WCCCD in September for January admission (and hope I get in), or to go to PSI or Toledo school of practical nursing in September, be done Sept 09 then enter an LPN to RN program. Does anyone know if there are wait lists for those, where they are offered, and admission requirements? I have no idea which one to do. I know the second route would probably get me done about 6 months earlier, and there is no guarantee that I will be accepted at WCCCD for January. Eccch.. Decisions!
