HFCC - Winter 2010

Anyone waiting to get in for January 2010. Does anyone know how many they are taking for the winter. I keep hearing different numbers, 40, 120. Also heard they may have a spring entrance, any comments, thoughts?

Hi, I spoke with the advising office about two weeks ago. She said they are taking 120. I am 114 on the list right now, so if everything stays the way it is I will start in Jan. She also said they are starting a new May entry, but unsure on how many they will admit then. When were you put on the list? I got on in late Aug of '08.

I was told 120 wasn't approved yet, neither was the May entrance. I am number 56, was put on the list as of July 17, 2008. I really wish they would finalized it, so that I can plan accordingly.

I'm with you on making plans... that sure would be nice. When did you speak to them last; in the last couple weeks? I'll go over there tomorrow (Tue) for another chat. She spoke as though it was definite.

I went within the last week or so. They have signs up stating they don't what how many will be taken for winter 2010, also had signs up about a spring entrance, but I was told nothing has been approved yet.

Gentle TOS reminder:

While it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:
  1. It is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. Your privacy is paramount to us.
  2. While allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. Gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. Please do not give out personal information about others. Do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

Winter: 40
Spring: 80
Fall: 160

They said, for now, this is what they have planned. I do hope it doesn't change.
