HFCC Wait list

by HFCC29

What is the time table once on the list to entering Nursing school at HFCC?
I have been told 6-12 months by some administrators and 12-18 months by other administrators? Any one know with more accuracy? Thx

It kinda depends. I was told 18 months originally but got in at 11 months (last winter) but then I also know people who had to wait longer. It just depends on who's on the list before you and if they say no when their time comes up to get in.

... and on how many people fail once they're in and need to repeat the class - thus taking a spot that might have been yours.

It took me a year to get an acceptance letter. Good luck to you.

I only waited 7 months before getting that letter in the mail. Oh, what a happy day that was!

I started on my prereqs in January '06. I qualified for the list in October '07, and started Fall '08.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I'm curious as to how the wait list works. If you apply and don't get accepted, are you then put on a wait list?

You do the prereqs and take the net test. and then your placed on the waitlist. while on the waitlist you take the rest of the required classes and then enter when your number comes up. it is first come first serve.

Does that mean that you're guaranteed a spot on the wait list as long as you score the minimum on the NET and have the minimum grades/GPA? Do people who score higher on the NET and have a higher GPA get on the wait list (and ultimately the nursing program) earlier than those with lower-end grades?
