HFCC GRADS, can you help me???

I was wondering, how soon after graduation is the NCLEX review? I (hopefully graduate) may 09 and my hubby purchased me a cruise for about a week after graduation. Now I worried am I gonna have to reschedule the vacation? Any help is appreciated.

I work with 3 recent grads and they took it between June and July. They started the review class soon after class ended. I know it's optional and it meets a few times. I met a grad who has still not been contacted for his date tho. That's all I know.

did those people go to HFCC and graduate this spring? because i can't possibly see how thats true, they sent out soooo many letters and drilled it in our heads over and over again that we HAD to be there that week following graduation 8-4 each day.. it was terrible but they were strict about the sign in/sign out and people who didnt come didnt get the dean to sign off on their license

I graduated in May 2008 and they DO say that you HAVE to be there, but...you don't. At least I didn't! I went the first day and stayed the entire time, then I didn't go back.

I hated that review class. Seemed like the instructor read from the book. I got better practice answering NCLEX questions from cdroms than that class.

ya know one thing you COULD do... kinda sneaky but i'm a sneaky kinda girl... lol if it absolutely comes down to it... (i don't know how strict Dean Howe is gonna be by then, my last year of nsg school was her first year as dean and i hated her.. but thats a whole diff. story) for the sign in sheets they had before the review started each day, and on the breaks for lunch, they had the sign in sheets spread out on these tables by alphabetical order like A-C on one sheet, D-G on another, etc. well have one of ur good buddies thats not gonna be on the same sign in sheet as you obviously, sign your name in for you, but have them wait till theres a big crowd around the sheets to sign in that way the people wont notice the same person signin on two sheets. we had to do that for some of our friends that overslept, or got sick or whatever and we didn't want them to miss anything. then just have ur friend grab an extra copy of the book and questions that they hand out that u can study on ur own. hope that helps ya
