Got my letter from MCC today

I agree with you, what a tease!! Although, I know I don't have a prayer of getting in. GPA 4.0/Hesi 81. How do you think you will rank?

Talk about an adreneline rush... too bad I already knew my GPA and HESI score. I guess they are just crossing their t's and dotting their i's before they finish so that they can avoid any problems later.

The letter does make it sound as though we will know our initial ranking unlike what I've heard it has been like in previous years. I guess we will find out soon enough. Also, we must give MCC staff "kudos." Imagine having to sort through over 1000 applicants batches of records. It's a job I don't envy, that's for sure.

I got the same letter today. I am a little confused about why they are only starting to rank now. Last year I had already received my letter from them with the ranking already done. I thought that is what they have been doing since February's deadline? I don't think it was right for them to tell us they would let us know by April 15 and then send us that stupid letter. Now we have to wait another couple weeks maybe even a month before we find out. Sorry I am just venting!

I agree, but this stinks. I have heard many say, "my friend had a 4.0 and a 95 on the hesi and they didn't get in" I guess some people probably thought they had different scores and were shocked when they didnt get in and complained, etc.

I would imagine rankings could be figured by push of a button on a computer. I hope they send the "real" letters out soon. I am slightly above the average for last year, so I am very unsure.

Hi all, I justed joined this site because of MCC's nursing program. Is anyone feeling the anxiety??? Arghh! Silly letter! Owell, it its meant to be, it will right? I was really diappointed with my score on my HESI, I earned a 89, but I have a 4.0 GPA. My friend had taken it last year and did worse this year! I feeel really bad for her. She said that they had not changed the test in 2 years and this year the test was different. Did you guys pay attention to the class average when you got the print out from the HESI? Do you think that was accurate for just the class you were in? I dunno...I just want to get in so bad!!

Spoke to admissions office today about letter. Sounds like they've been flooded with calls today. They are ranking and planning to mail acceptance letters out both on April 14th.

I'm glad they at least sent out the letter to say they weren't doing the ranking yet. I thought I hadn't heard because I didn't get in.

I wonder why it takes so long when the applications were due two months ago. It makes me think there is a little more to it than HESI/GPA. Just a thought.
