CNA work Oakland or Macomb County

I am a CNA while I get my nursing degree and I am looking for a NICE place to work that is hiring. I am looking to work in Oakland County or Macomb County. Does anyone know of a good place where the staff are professional that is hiring?

Thanks!

There are hiring freezes at a lot of the hospitals in Oakland County. And just because it's in Oakland or Macomb County means that it's "nice". I happen to work in Detroit at Henry Ford and I believe that all of my collegues are professional and the hospital is nice.

REPLY: You jumped to the WRONG conclusion with your reply!!!

I was only asking for a recommendation for a NICE place in Oakland or Macomb County that needs CNAs - but I was NOT saying that places in Oakland or Macomb County are NICER than anywhere else!

You assumed incorrectly! I hope this isn't the way you treat your patients!

My personal situation is that driving a long distance is not an option at this time and I did not want to work at a nursing home or someplace that was not a good place to work. That's ALL!

I happen to think Henry Ford Hospital system is GREAT! I would love to work there when I can, and I have applied there as well in the past.

Additionally, there ARE jobs available at hospitals in Oakland and Macomb County but not that I qualify for.

Have a great life!

My patient care is not relevant in this discussion, so get off the cross. I'm human and the last time I checked, I wasn't aware that I had to remain in a professional capacity even outside of my job. So those profound statements about my patient care will not work on me.Yeah, I assumed as I'm sure other people would have also. I mean you associated Oakland and Macomb with "nice" as they are nice but why not Wayne? That's how I took it. If you don't already know, the economy sucks right now. Not a lot of places are hiring. You can put Beaumont out of mind because they are on a hiring freeze at the moment. HFWB has CNA positions available. I also have seen CNA positons at HF-Macomb.

Yeah, I assumed as I'm sure other people would have also. I mean you associated Oakland and Macomb with "nice" as they are nice but why not Wayne? That's how I took it. I didn't take the OP's post to mean that any other county besides Macomb or Oakland were not nice, I read it as those are the areas she wanted or could work in. Honestly, there are crappy places to work in every county in this state.

Yeah, you're right. But everyone has a different interpretations. According to the OP, I took it the wrong way. The OP is probably right, I overreacted. But everyone interprets things differently.

I have 7 months of experience, but I am certified as a CNA. I don't think you need experience as long as you are a current nursing student or a CNA. It took them awhile to hire me because I had to go through a phone interview, and then i was contacted by the department 3 weeks later.
