CNA testing

When I took my state test for CNA, it was pretty easy. There was two parts to the test. One part was on the computer asking you questions you learned in the course. The second part was the part I didn't like. They pick out three random things for you to perform. (Making an occupied bed,etc). The good thing is if you flunk one part, you only take the part over that you flunked.

I failed the first time I did the random tasks. I was to do denture care. I washed my hands, lined the sink with paper towel, did everything right except swab the mouth out-I thought "how could I forget that"! But just make sure you do everything step by step, and they will tell you that you can take as long as you like. Make sure you pull the curtain, wash your hands before and after everything, knock before entering the room and announce yourself, wait for response, pay close attention to dignity issues.
