CNA

I'm looking into taking my prerequisites to take apply for the accelerated nursing program at Wayne State, but I want to become a CNA first - just for the experience. My question is where can I take the class at for the lowest cost/tuition?

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I took my cna class through the Red Cross. i think their website is semredcross.org. You have to go down to the red cross building on Mack Avenue to register, but then you have a choice of locations to take the class. They also offer day or evening classes. I think the cost is $900. This includes the book fee. When you pay, you get the book, information about the program and supplies you need--scrubs, pen, notebook, and a homework assignment that you have to complete and hand in on the first day of class. Nothing hard--just read the first 8 chapters and answer some questions. Very easy. Good luck to you. And good luck getting into the program at Wayne State.
