Baker pre-reqs

I am just starting out with my pre-reqs at baker. How hard is A&P 1 and does it get much harder?
I know I'm going off the subject but from what I'm reading on here it is very difficult to get in the program. I'm gonna try my best. Wish me luck!

I really thought that A&P 1 was the hardest class that I had so far. I have 3 classes left and they are all sciences-Patho, Pharmacology, and Holistics. Besides the 3 I have not done yet, A&P 1 was the hardest (lecture, not the lab), really concentrate on the first half with the cells. If you want PM me who you have as your instructor and I will tell you if I had them in a class or not. They do not allow you to post the names on the board.

It is hard to get into most schools here in Michigan. Just remember they go off of your GPA and the NET test. The only thing you can do is do your best.

For me the hardest one was A&P I. It was just a lot of stuff to take in. After that everything built on the A&P and kept reinforcing the material we learned previously, at least that was how it worked out for me.

I had Forrest (who isn't there now) and Tominello for II. My sister had Bocci. Bocci was easier. But all good teachers!

I don't mean to be a bother but does Composition I count for the nursing program?

The GPA counts for Comp 1. Also keep in mind that if you have a class that you need, even if it doesn't count in the GPA used to figure your score for the program, if you drop it and repeat it, it WILL be counted against you.

Taking a B- in a class is better than "repeating" even one class.

And repeating could be dropping and taking it later, or getting a c and then taking it again. I would make sure that you talk to the nursing office before I made any moves regarding classes.

This is how I lost a point. On a class that didn't count in the GPA used to figure my score. I dropped a class by week 4, and when I took it again, they called it a repeat.

As of either Spring 2009 or Fall 2010 application I can't remember which one (they mailed a letter to my house), they are adding Comp 1 back into the determination at Baker, which is crap because they told me it would not count.

Side note: Comp 1, Micro, AP 1 & 2, and Psych are the ones that count for Macomb for Fall 2010 application.
