Baker College GPA?

Okay I may be over thinking this...lol.

When you say you have a 4.0, is Baker grading this on the fact that you have not lost any points in any classes, or that you are in the "A" bracket?

For example, in my current class an A is 930 points to 1000 points. I have so far a 975.5. This is still in the A range, but not a perfect 4.0 because I have lost points.

So are they going to look at this as a 4.0 if I stay in the A range?

I think I am losing my mind over all of this...lol.

Thanks for the replies!

It is easy to lose your mind over this. No, they don't look at points lost in the class. A's are a 4.0 no matter what. It doesn't matter if you just make it or if your A is really strong. I hope this helps.

You should be able to get a 4.0 as long as you have a solid A, and not an A-.

Don't Panic!! Relax and make sure you know the material and score well on your HESI. Like the other person said..an A is an A. And by the way, don't believe the rumors. Not very many of the students coming in to the program had a perfect 4.0!

OK, take a deep breath! I can tell you there arent that many people coming in with a 4.0. I just graduated and I believe a whole 2 people came in with a GPA of 4.0. Our lowest I believe was 3.61 or 3.67 if I remember correctly. There wasnt a bunch of transfer students coming from other campuses or anything else crazy. Waiting to get into nursing school is a SUPER stressful time. I remember my best friend calling me freaked out about the latest rumor about how hard it was going to be to get in. There were a TON of them! None of them were true at all! We both got in first try.. WITHOUT 4.0 GPA's. I have since graduated and she (due to personal circumstances.. not anything the college had to do with) will be in June. Its a long road and getting accepted is the first step. Take a deep breath, keep a level head and strap in.. It's one heck of a ride! When you get to the end of this journey you will look back and not remember the person you were before (in a good way). Nursing school changes who you are and how you think. Good luck in your journey, may yours be as special to you as mine was to me.
