I am thinking of signing up at Baker for the January 2006 start. Although they are very expensive it doesn't sound like it is difficult to get in the rn program. They told me I have to keep my G.P.A. 3.8 or better. Do you attend there now?

Baker in Flint? If it is I have friends who are finishing their pre-reqs for the program. I looked in to going there but they wanted me to retake a couple of classes that i had B's in from 6-7 years ago. no way. they also told me they had gotten 600 applicants for the 35 spots. I was told no one with under a 4.0 would have gotten in. THey were way to crabby about credits transferring so I moved on. plus they are super expensive and I have a bachelors degree so I don't qualify for financial aid.

Well I took all me pre-req's at Baker of Flint. When I finished those I applied to the Nursing porgram at Baker-Owosso. I got accspted and this is my first term. It is a very competitive program. I see the rumors are still as active as when I was taking pre-req's. The GPA is very high however out of the last couple classes that went through only 10 people actually had 4.0. You do have to have a pretty high GPA-but not 4.0. I had a 3.84 and I got in So.....The only things you have to do is have to get the process started is the 13 pre-reqs and get the application turned in on time and ait to see what happens. If you are thinking about applying for 2006 I would definetly recommend it. Iam in the program and loving it and alllllllllllllllllll the work that we do.

Thanks for responding. I would actually attend the Clinton Twp. location. I am going to talk again with the admissions advisor to see how hard it is to get in because if it is going to take me a year or two anyhow to start the program I may try Macomb C.C. because it is half the price.
