I agree I think the last day will def be the most crowded.

I didn't see that post from SillyRabbit. That really sucks though for those people! Now they will have to complete 12 credit hours at WCCCD in order for them to be able to apply for Jan 2009.

I am in need of encouragement! I have a 3.33 GPA do I have any hope? I'm told I am one the list for schoolcraft in 09, but I would really like to start WCCCD in 08! Maybe with all the new requirements I may be in luck!

I think you have a really good chance at being an alternate. I would still apply, because you don't know what the GPA cut off will be for this semster. Is that your total GPA with Co-req's included or is that just your GPA for pre-req's. Like she said at the information meeting for alternate's to still show up for orientation, because those who don't show up will lose their spots. The cut off's for the past couple of semsmter's have been a 3.44. Good Luck

The reason SillyRabbit was asking you about your GPA being from both prereqs and coreqs or from just your prereqs is because they will use your grades from your coreqs to boost your GPA if they will help.

Coreq's include:

DT 130
HSC 100
HSC 200
BIO 252
SOC 100
ENG 120
PS 101 or another class that will fill this requirement.

If you have taken any of these classes and have gotten A's it may help boost your GPA! If you need help doing this, feel free to PM me!

I just wanted to send Good Luck vibes to everyone applying for fall entry. I will attend tonight's application meeting. I've organized my documentation best I can and hope it's sufficient. I thought I was going to lose my mind, but found my High School Diploma last week! I called the high school for a copy of my actual transcripts and they said it could take weeks, so that was close.
I'll be applying with a 3.79. I keep telling myself that I should get in, but one never knows!

Wishing for the best,
Teresa

To all those applying tonight good luck. For some reason, I'm having a hard time getting my clearance done on ICHAT. Did anyone else have this problem? Well since I couldn't get the clearance done in time, I will be applying at the May 30th meeting. Please post how the meeting went, how many showed up etc!!!! Again well wishes.

ALOT of people showed up, but I was there early so got in and out pretty quickly. Only one person from the nursing department was there to hand out and then accept apps, but it went very smoothly (at least for me=)).

Good luck everyone.

Yes I was there tonight too. It went smoothly because Mr. N didn't check apps to make sure everyone had everything, she only took them and off you went. This could be a good thing and a bad thing. Anyway, there were a lot of folks there and although I was about 20 people from the end of the line, I was one of the first 30 to turn my app packet in. I wouldn't even know where to begin to guestimate how many people were actually there. More than 200 less than 400. Does that sound about right?

Good luck everyone!!!!!! I hope we all get accepted! But now the waiting game begins.....

I really don't know about the number, not good at estimating. Over 200 sounds right.

I quadruple-checked my papers so I am OK that no one checked it.

Now we just wait...

A lot more people showed up than I expected. It makes me a little nervous since I'm borderline with my gpa (3.56). The wait is going to drive me insane. I am trying to stay positive though
