This has nothing to do with your question, but I will ask anyway.
What part of Michigan are you moving to and when? I live in Las Vegas and plan on relocating to Bay City in June. I plan on working for the Michigan Department of Corrections, but I haven't officially gotten hired yet, so essentially I am still looking for a job. Where is Critical Resource and where are they located.Thanks.

Moving this thread to the MI forum where you will find it easier to get answers since the question is specific to only one state.

hey RN,
Critical Resource INc is located in Brighton Michigan but they service the entire state and even chicago as the recruiter told me so i think u will be fine in bay city. i used to live in farmington hills and got my BSN from University of Detroit Mercy so we will probably move back to the same area...theywere great over the phone i was very impressed she sent me all the paper work online via email stat Maxim was very disappointing so i will not be signing with them.
Critical resource pays the most even more than i earn registry here in cali atimes...so they got me there, they are on telegraph road...their site is under construction but i think it is critical-resource.net or so,do a web search.....goodluck

If you like working agency then avoid CRI. They mainly work as an outside consultant group... hospitals, hire them to "help them cut their budget". They recently came into a local hospital in Detroit and help them to cut all of their agency nurse use. If you like being an agency nurse.. then avoid CRI!

Check out 8northstaffing. My recruiter is Rodger Kress. Excellent pay. Great Support....So far have not found a downside...but then again...I have not been with them long. Website is same as agency name plus dot com. Gotta love a computer and a cell phone...cuz he as only as far away as either. Office is based out of Grand Rapids and he came to see me for initial interview. Paperwork was all done online and via fax. The company logo is "It's all about you." That says it all, doesn't it? Company pays for orientation (not full pay, but at least they want you to have orientation to the facility). They offer per diem and contracts. Check it out.

Critical Resource is a great company to work for. The office personnel is great to work with and the recruiters really know their stuff, plus I make great money. I highly recommend the company. Also, there is a mention here about the other company that is an offshoot of the original staffing agency. FlexChoiceRN is the consulting company that creates internal agencies in hospitals.
