I took my CNA class through a Long Term Care Facility for free. Usually, county facilities do the classes right in the facility and hire you after the two week course. You get paid for most of the second week. You may not want to get into geriatrics, but it will get your foot in the door-a little easier on the pocket book. Even if you don't except a job through the facility, you will still have the certificate of completion, and can go anywhere and get a job, and most places if they hire you will pay for your state testing.
