Larry77 mentioned Aviator scrubs back when I was first starting my ABSN program, so I took his advice. I'm glad I did. They look great, are tough, and they have as many pockets as you could ever want--I can't tell you how useful the pen-pockets on the sleeves are! People are always loosing pens or laying them down on dirty surfaces, and I have mine right where I need it. Thanks Larry77

Intriguing. Too bad none of theirs I've tried have fit me worth a damn. The difference between L and XL for them is huge. L is too small, XL is big enough for an entire family of circus performers to live in.

I'll have to break the "Aviator is best" theme. I got a set of the "light duty" or whatever they call them. I am ALWAYS hot, I thought a lighter weight fabric would be better for me.
After a few months the velcro on the large leg pockets is almost gone, like all the little hooks just fell off, the pockets won't stay closed now. The fabric also balled up a lot. I have to lint roll myself before I leave for work, and that doesn't pull all of them off.
I might try their "standard" weight in the future, but I'm afraid they will be too hot.
Now I'm buying Cherokee Workwear from allheart.com.

Wash them inside out. Learned that from other pants, shorts and jackets with velcro. My ER is pretty much always the same temp and I find the Aviator standard weight to be very comfortable without any lint issues.

I get my scrub tops from Walmart and www.frederickuniforms.com.

I buy all my own material and my wife makes my scrubs. This makes them very personalized and unique. So if you or wife can use a sewing machine go out get a pattern and make your own. I love mine plus the fact my wife made them makes me appreciate them more.

Another vote for Iguanamed. I have tried just about everything out there and they are by far my favorite.

My wife and I, she's also an RN, are taking a sewing class just so we can learn to make scrub tops.

Medline/Angelica/Angelstat from Target. Cotton polyblend Fashion Seal not the 100% Cotton because they wrinkle! Uniform Advantage buttersoft scrubs availabe in Tall, Reg, and for me, Short!
