My unit allows business casual, so I just switched to a Nurse Pro Pack (large), available from http://nursepropack.easystorecreator.net/ (like a carpenter's apron). Holds lots of stuff. Nice to just take it off and toss it in my locker with my 'scope and looseleaf at end of shift.

For pants I've always worn Landau # 8555, elastic waist with drawstring, one back pocket, high regular slant pockets each side, hip cargo pockets each side. For shirts I've always gotten UTY (Uniforms To You/Cintas out of Chicago) unisex with two lower front pockets. I'm a big guy so I'm a little particular about what I get. The pants hold up really well, the tops are more generic but I was always more concerned that the pants fit well.

Can someone tell me how the Aviator pants compare to these?

I'm going to be buying new scrubs soon and don't live in Chicago any longer, so I'm looking for a new supplier.

Thanks.

Aviator scrub pants are THE way to go! They actually feel like pants. I haven't used their shirts yet, but the pants are awesome. Stretch waist with BELT so they don't feel like they're falling off you butt all day, multiple usable pockets.....I can't say enough positive about them. At 29.99 they are a bit pricey by scrub standard, but they aren't standard scrubs!

I spent a small fortune on five sets of IguanaMeds scrubs. Right after purchasing, I posted to AllNurses about how much I loved them. Well, scratch that. After only a few washes, two of the tops washed up to be different colors than the pants. Now, six or seven months later, three of the drawstrings have ripped out of the pants. Also, the pants were long enough in the store, but after the first wash, became high-waters. I will never buy another pair of Iguana Meds again.

I am now in the market for five new sets of scrubs. I looked at the Aviator website, and like what I see. I don't mind spending a little extra money for a premium product. The thing that got me about the Aviator site is that they charge $5.50 flat shipping, plus $2 for each piece. Four tops and four pants were going to run $21.50 for shipping alone! Unless they're being shipped overnight, that seems exorbitant. Has anyone else had this experience? Did you pay the ridiculouos shipping? Was it worth it? I'm also looking at the Landau 7-pocket pant. I can't seem to find them in a "Tall", though. I have a pair of white Cherokee Cargos that I bought for school, but they're too short, also. Curse these long legs!

Thanks for any assistance/information you can supply.

Warm regards,
Theron

I'm 6'3" and they are plenty tall for me...I think they advertise 34" inseam but they seem even longer than that. Aviator has specials every once and awhile usually either free shipping or 20% off scrubs. I have had my Aviator's for a couple years now and have had zero problems with them. The only reason I keep buying them is to get different colors not to replace old ones.

Thanks, Larry. I just got an email back from Aviator and they have an offer now where if you order 4 sets of scrubs, the throw in a pen light, utility scissor and free shipping. I'm going to place the order tomorrow. Thanks again!

As much as you're paying for those Aviator's...they ought to throw in a trauma kit!!

Aviators. Been rotating four sets for three years. Look, feel, and work great. I've sold a ton of scrubs for them, they should be paying me commission.

I too have four sets of Aviators that I rotate. They are more expensive, but the material is durable and I just love all the pockets. The only scrubs I have that actually have more than enough pockets (instead of not enough).
