I have also used TED hose that I got while in the hospital after surgery and wore cotton athletic socks over them. Please, do not let the word "stockings" make you afraid of taking care of your legs and feet as they are what will get you through your shifts. I learned a long time ago that the most expensive thing you can buy is a cheap pair of shoes.
