THANKS! PLEASE ADD ANY COMMENTS BELOW In my experience, male nurses are treated better by doctors. Most patients accept male nurses for personal care. I was not offended on the few occasions a female patient requested a female for personal care.

There are a few of my co-workers who have no use for males in general who really have no use for male nurses.
