From what I have heard, for the most part it does not really matter. My recommendation however is to make sure that the program(s) you are interested in attending is/are accredited with the NLN or CCNE. You should also decide whether you want to go the associate's degree or bachelor's degree route for your RN, the major difference being whether or not you have plans on eventually doing graduate work in nursing (for which the BSN degree is the necessity). You generally have more opportunities open to you in nursing if you go for your BSN as well.
