Hello, I kind of stumbled on this place while surfing the internet. I'm a 2nd year Practical nursing student and I'll be graduating this may. Today my instructor was talking to the class about caps for the females who are graduating. Our class is predominately female but there are three of us males. I felt somewhat left out.. and considering us guys dont fit very well with the whole graduating with a nurses cap, I decided to see if I could find any accessories a graduating male Nurse wears. I havent come up with much from google, so I was wondering if I could get any feedback from this forum.. maybe from your own graduation or some creative new ideas. I was thinking a arm sash.. one with a cross on it. I think that'd be pretty neat. I'm not sure if your allowed to solicite sites on the forum, but references to sites or companies that sell these goods would be great too. If you cant put them up in the forum, feel free to Private message me on this thingy.

when the females in my class got their caps, the men got a small pin. i think it was some type of angel.

I am in the same boat. Perhaps we should get big hats like the 3 Musketeers!!! Big plumes trailing out. Hey we could even wear swords!! Sure would beat looking like a barber!!

The females in my graduating class wore the white hats with the black band (the color for RNs I'm told) and the men wore the black band on the left pocket of their scrubs. Our whole class received pins.

At my school everyone gets a pin. Nobody wears those caps or anything like that. As for graduation, as long as u wear the black robe and hat, you can decorate it anyway you want.

Hey, how about all the guys wear a Fez??? You know, like what Shriners wear!!! That would be cool. White Fez with a black stripe, or better yet a black tassel. Oh yeah Baby, that would impress the ladies!!!!!

A fez is an Egyptian hat. Have you ever seen Shriners in a parade; these guys on little tiny motocycles and little cars? It is the hats that they wear. Here is a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fez_(hat)

How about those hats that the guards wear at Windsor Castle in London!!! Those real fuzzy black things; but we just get them in white!!!! That would be cool, huh!!!
