Do you have a guidance counselor? Have you contacted the admissions or nursing department at any of the schools you are interested in attending?

I have, not too helpful there, i want to know if theres any place where i can become a nurse as fast as possible at a resonable price. Also, do i have to start from associated? And work my way up from there? And can someone explain online nursing schools?

You do not have to start with an ADN, but, if you are looking for a faster and cheaper route than that might be an option for you. You can usually complete an ADN at a community college. I would look into the CCs in your area to find out what their admission requirements are and when they accept applications. I would do this ASAP as nursing schools usually take applications very early, way earlier than normal admittance, around here it is November when they STOP accepting applications (deadline).

before you apply to any programs I would look into the facilities/hospitals in your area and see what they require...ADN RN or BSN RN. You want to make yourself attractive upon graduation so that you can land a job.

Online nursing is usually reserved for bridge programs (RN-BSN). For a traditional program where you are unlicensed, you will need to attend formal schooling. This is because you must attend clinical and what not.

Once i attend a course at my comunity college, will i still be able to attend formal college? I want to get into a college higher than CC, will i be able to attend both? is there anyway to headstart my rn education while still being in highschool, because most of the schools require diploma or GED, i wanted to start this spring, and not wait till august untill after i graduate. Also, how hard is landing a job? Thank you for that reaponse Rn403, sorry, i have soo many questions. Thank you for the responces though :)

Yes, you can take your pre-requisites at a community college and then transfer to a university. Just be sure that you look into whatever university you want to transfer to and make sure they will accept the courses that you take.

You might be able to take some pre-reqs (chem, micro, college algebra, etc) at a community college. Some community colleges have dual enrollment where you take college courses on top of your high school courses. You would have to speak with your guidcance counselor about that or reach out to an advisor at your local community college. Other than that, you really cannot take any actual nursing courses until you graduate, and are accepted into the program.

The level of difficulty in landing a job will depend on your area. Some areas have a lot of new-grads and nurses in general and do not have any urgency to hire nurses. Some areas (rural areas for example), are always hiring nurses, including new graduates. Also, like I said, make sure you look at the hospital's requirements. If you live in an area that prefers BSN prepared nurses and you go for your associate degree...it will be difficult to land a job. So again, I urge you to look into this before you pick a nursing program(s) to apply to.

It is perfectly alright. I'm glad I could help.
