Different color scrub Top and Pants, does that look ok for Male nurses?

Nurses Men

So i'm gonna start my first job in a few days and bought a pair of scrubs. The top and pants I got are both black but of different styles and so have obliviously different shades of black. I'm thinking of just using them with a different color pair. Like example, a blue top and black pants, or black top and gray pants. I haven't seen any male nurses during my clinicals that wore different colored scrubs so that why I'm asking.

Please no. It's horrendous. Hindi pogi pag ganyan.

you can get cheap scrubs for like 15 to 20. Remember you are a professional now. Good luck.

I don't see mixing it up as a problem. I've seen plenty of nurses, including males, doing this. That includes prints as well.

I think it depends on the colors.

Maroon scrub top with navy pants? No.

But I wear white top with navy pants. Or light blue top with grey pants. As long as the colors go together.

Most of the hospitals here have royal blue tops with black pants for nurses. I don't see how gray or black pants don't go with just about everything. Congrats on the job!

I don't see an issue with black and grey; black and blue would depend upon the color of blue. But in general, no problem. Lots of folks wear "unmatched" scrubs. After you've worn scrubs for awhile, they fade somewhat differently, so they might not still be the same color even if they started out that way.

I don't wear different brands of the same color, but I almost always wear two-tone scrubs. Black top blue/red/green bottoms, black bottoms red/green/blue top. It's hard to describe glorified pajamas as professional to me, so I say go for it.

Men usually wear solid colors. Actually, every male I've worked with, including myself, wore the exact same type and color of scrubs everyday, lol. I had a couple of pair that I alternated until I started wearing 5.11 pants and random polos. Patients couldn't wrap their head around me being the RN, but it wasn't against policy so I wore that instead. Way more comfortable and practical.

I can't like this comment enough. Scrubs look horrible. To have a bit more fun though, veggie, you should try mixing it up with prints.

I've worked several places with color coded mandated colors.

How monotonous!

If the color combinations are consistent with those you would wear with street clothes, it should look fine.

Go for it.

Our color mandated scrubs are 2 different colors White tops and Royal blue pants We have male nurses who have to wear it and it looks fine I'm not a huge fan though
