I would actually bypass getting a reference from your manager. I did, and applied to 6 anesthesia programs. I was interviewed and accepted to all of them without a letter from my manager. I sent in recs from 2 former nursing professors, a NP that I know, a CRNA that I know and two from other ICU nurses that I work with on the unit who were my friends. You DONT have to have a letter from your manager to get into a program. I am living proof of this Good Luck!

Hey Drugreptonurse. Thank you for sharing your story. I also plan on applying for CRNA school with about 3 months of experience. I feel fearful and ridiculous however approaching my manager for a reference. Any suggestions on how to get past this?
