We just sleep all night. That's why we're seaty and exhausted when they come in. Good lord. i did start off as an STNA on days cuz I was 17 and it was the only shift I could work legally. felt so guilty dragging people out of bed when I wouldn't even want to get up. Everyone had to be up by 8 and we had no hoyer lift. So we sure got out exercise. What sort of Ltc do you work in?

OH yes! Don't forget, Night shift doesn't have any "real" responsibility, and if anything needs to get done, then it must be passed onto day shift right? I've had a nurse say that to me once, and I looked at her and said "In my experience, day shift does the least amount of work and the most amount of complaining" Guess you just can't please some people.

I have no desire to get up at 6 am and not get a shift differential lol. But they come in and act like we do nothing all night. Cuz patients turn, change, and medicate themselves. Talented, aren't they?

Of course. It'll come from Ohio, so she'll have no idea. I can think of t least a dozen people who deserve a copy lol.
