Hey.......yes, Baylor All Saints in Ft.Worth regularly receives an endowment from Mr. and Mrs. Faxel. The interest from this donation is put into a program called The Faxel Fund. The conditions for using this $$ seem to have changed somewhat over the years, but I think you still have to be employed at Baylor All Saints for at least 3-6 months on a part-time basis before you can apply for the Faxel scholarship. I have a friend who worked 1-2 shifts per week as a tech in the ER and then used the Faxel $$ to pay all of her tuition, books, etc. @ TCU. Google "Faxel scholarship at Baylor All Saints" and see what comes up.
Hi,
I noticed on one of your posts (from a couple of years ago) that you mentioned Baylor hospital's *very* generous endowment program for students while employed at Baylor. I have a friend that worked at Baylor for a few months and mentioned this to me as well but didn't have any details. I will be starting an ADN program in a few weeks and would like to work as a tech after my first semester. Do you have any more information on this endowment program? I can't find info anywhere! Thanks!
