hey, I decided on sticking to my first choice and pursue nursing. It offers more variety than techs would. Here are my choices
    1. I can go to a hospital based diploma school where I would get my diploma in nursing (I'm also a few credits away from an Associates Degree, so I can also do that.) It takes 2 years, part time because my pre-reqs have been completed. SO it will be nice focusing only on my nursing classes. or
    2. I can finish my Associates degree this summer and go to a local university and get my Bachelors in Biology and transfer to a 1 yr RN program for people who have a BA in another area. I say this because it would take 2 years to get a diploma vs 2 years for a bachelors in bio and 1 more year for Rn=3 years and I'll have a bachelors in both.

All of the programs for associate degree nursing has a waiting list of 2+ years and 4 year bsn programs around my area are all private and 30k a year! Of course they have no waiting list but they gave me no financial aid because my parents work and I'm only 21 so they go by parents salary.

What option do you think is better 1 or 2?

I never would have found your thread if I had not checked to see your previous posts. I almost never go to that forum where you posted. I hang mostly on the Nursing Student Assistance Forum and also check the threads on the General Nursing Student Discussion Forum. I posted an answer to your post, however, you provided no information other than the patient's medical diagnoses. Was this a real patient that you took care of? You cannot develop really strong nursing diagnoses from just that kind of information. You either left out data or you didn't tell me all of the instructions for the assignment.

Hi there, I was wondering if you could help me out. I noticed you had replied before to someone asking about nursing dx for DM. I am writing a nursing process paper on a pt that has type 2 DM. He has decubiti heel ulcers infected with MRSA and peripheral neuropathy in his legs. I want my priority dx to be about skin integrity issues (r/t decr circulation, incr blood gluc levels, decr mobility, and decr sensation). I think NANDA only has a risk for diagnosis for skin integrity.....im not exactly sure what dx I should be using???? the other dx was infection r/t wounds but again, it is a risk for dx and the pt already has the infection. Any ideas on the direction I should be going?
